On the Panel -

off work sick, example “how’s your man”? …”he’s on the panel wi his back”

Panel Line -
Doctors sick note, example “I’m away ti the doctors for a panel line”

Waarmer - a
loud person with a low IQ and a tenious grip on reality. Example “he’s a
waarmer him”

Hermless - a
fool who means to do you no harm. Example “Auch leave him he’s hermless”

Roaster - a
person who’s stupidity goes above and beyond the call of duty Example “wit a
roaster he is”

Pan Breed -
(deid) – Dead Example “did yi hear wee jimmy was pan breed”?

Bouffing (pronounced
as bowfin’) – Malodorous or not very nice. Example “Jesus..that’s bouffin’ ”

Reekin -
Extremely malodorous. Example “that auld wummin was reekin’ of pish”

skelf -
splinter, a very thin woman

ginger -
carbonated drinking fluid, most commonly served in a bottle e.g. lemonade,
orangeade, irn bru, cola

Stoater =
really pretty….example she’s a stoater

Hunkers - a
definition of your feet or bended leg ..example sitting on yer hunkers

boaby - a
name and a description of male genitalia …. example  ”that wee boab is a
total boaby ”

Chukies -
small stones or pebbles…. example “I’ve got a pile of chuckies in the
garden”

Ben -
Glaswegian word for in….. example “your coat is ben the room”

Havering - To
talk nonsense or pish….example “don’t listen ti him ,he’s havering”

A tuppeny wan -
a punch on the nose…. example… “he gave him a tuppeny wan and he decked
it”
