Partick Thistle

 

 

 Patrick Thistle Football Club are a professional football club from Glasgow, Scotland. Despite their name, the club are based in the Maryhill area of the city, and have not played in Partick since 1908.

They are members of the Scottish Football League, and currently play in the First Division after being promoted through the play-offs at the end of the 2005–06 season.

At the end of season 2008–09 the side finished in 2nd place in the second year of Ian McCall’s tenure as manager. They will participate in the Irn Bru First Division during the season 2009–10
